Many of us often think of billionaires as larger-than-life icons who have somehow been blessed with great fortune and luck.
We can easily view these people as gods and begin to believe that they were born with something special, something we simply will never possess. The idea of making billions of dollars seems far out of reach; a silly dream.
If you feel this way we’re here to try and change your mind about billionaires because guess what?
Anybody can be a billionaire.
Okay, we know you’re probably thinking something along the lines of “yeah right”, but hear us out.
Several weeks ago we met with four billionaires in one week. Three of them are equal owners in a company and the other is a CEO and Chairman of a different company. Both of these businesses are significantly profitable. One has made $12 billion in revenue and the other consistently generates $1.5 billion in revenue.
These meetings were eye opening because we realized billionaires aren’t special.
They’re just people after all.
After talking with them we understood that they didn’t magically become billionaires overnight and they didn’t become billionaires because they were smarter or worked harder than other entrepreneurs we know.
Our team learned that they had all followed a similar formula that led to their success and it was fairly simple:
- Identify a niche that has a mass market (we’re talking billions of people)
- Find a product that appeals to the niche and provides value for the market
- Determine the most effective distribution channel
- Spread the product and distribution channel to as many people as possible within the chosen market
- Keep your head down and go after your goal with everything you have
- Build relationships with people who can help you share your message
And there you have it.
These steps may sound simple, and in some ways they are, but it requires a lot of time, work and dedication to make it happen. But, if you’re an entrepreneur or business owner then you already know all about that!
The four people we met with weren’t shoo-ins to become billionaires. They got hyper-focused, found a niche with a very large market and created a solution for a major problem that that audience was facing.
You don’t need to be the smartest person in the room to become a billionaire. However, you do have to be the best at getting things done. If you can produce a valuable product and sell it through a distribution channel, you’re well on your way.
So, yes, you too can be a billionaire.
It’s not as far out of your grasp as it may feel and trust us, we know it can feel impossible.
Start by developing a strong belief in yourself and your vision and once you do it’s time to go make it happen.
Give it all you got.
If they can do it, why can’t you?
